Ordinario desaire de todo lo mui celebrado antes, no llegar despu\u00e9s al excesso de lo concebido. Nunca lo verdadero pudo alcan\u00e7ar a lo imaginado, porque el fingirse las perfecciones es f\u00e1cil, y mui dificultoso el conseguirlas. C\u00e1sase la imaginaci\u00f3n con el deseo, y concibe siempre mucho m\u00e1s de lo que las cosas son. Por grandes que sean las excelencias, no bastan a satisfazer el concepto, y como le hallan enga\u00f1ado con la exorbitante expectaci\u00f3n, m\u00e1s presto le desenga\u00f1an que le admiran. La esperan\u00e7a es gran falsificadora de la verdad: corr\u00edjala la cordura, procurando que sea superior la fruici\u00f3n al deseo. Unos principios de cr\u00e9dito sirven de despertar la curiosidad, no de empe\u00f1ar el objecto. Mejor sale quando la realidad excede al concepto y es m\u00e1s de lo que se crey\u00f3.
