Prescindiendo del sentido, discut\u00eda sobre palabras, y engendr\u00f3 el g\u00e9nero superficial de er\u00edstica que se usa ahora; por lo que Tim\u00f3n dice de \u00e9l:<\/span><\/p>\n

Dividi\u00f3 por primera vez la oraci\u00f3n en cuatro clases: el voto, la pregunta, la respuesta y la orden [54]<\/b> (otros la dividen en siete: la exposici\u00f3n, la pregunta, la respuesta, la orden, la relaci\u00f3n, el voto y la invocaci\u00f3n), que llamaba tambi\u00e9n fundamentos de los discursos. Alcidamante, en cambio, nombra cuatro clases de oraci\u00f3n: la afirmaci\u00f3n, la negaci\u00f3n, la pregunta y la llamada.<\/span><\/p>\n
