Seine Philosophie aber, die in ihnen nicht eigentlich in systematischer Form vorgetragen ist, daraus darzustellen, ist nicht so sehr durch sie selbst erschwert als dadurch, da\u00df diese Philosophie von verschiedenen Zeiten verschieden aufgefa\u00dft worden, besonders aber von den plumpen H\u00e4nden neuerer Zeiten vielfach betastet worden ist, die ihre rohen Vorstellungen entweder da hineingetragen, unverm\u00f6gend das Geistige geistig zu fassen, oder dasjenige f\u00fcr das Wesentliche und Merkw\u00fcrdigste in Platons Philosophie angesehen, was in der Tat der Philosophie nicht angeh\u00f6rt, sondern der Vorstellungsweise. Eigentlich aber erschwert nur Unkenntnis der Philosophie die Auffassung der Platonischen Philosophie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Platon ist eins von den welthistorischen Individuen, seine Philosophie eine von den welthistorischen Existenzen, die von ihrer Entstehung an auf alle folgende Zeiten f\u00fcr die Bildung und Entwicklung des Geistes den bedeutendsten Einflu\u00df gehabt haben; die christliche Religion, die dies hohe Prinzip in sich enth\u00e4lt, ist zu dieser Organisation des Vern\u00fcnftigen, zu diesem Reiche des \u00dcbersinnlichen geworden durch den gro\u00dfen Anfang, den Platon schon gemacht hatte. Das Eigent\u00fcmliche der Platonischen Philosophie ist die Richtung auf die intellektuelle, \u00fcbersinnliche Welt, die Erhebung des Bewu\u00dftseins in das geistige Reich, so da\u00df das Intellektuelle die Gestalt von \u00dcbersinnlichem, von Geistigem, was dem Denken angeh\u00f6rt, erh\u00e4lt, da\u00df es in dieser Gestalt f\u00fcr das Bewu\u00dftsein die Wichtigkeit bekommt, in das Bewu\u00dftsein eingef\u00fchrt wird und das Bewu\u00dftsein einen festen Fu\u00df in diesem Boden fa\u00dft. Die christliche Religion hat dann das Prinzip der Bestimmung des Menschen zur Seligkeit \u2013 oder da\u00df sein inneres geistiges Wesen sein wahrhaftes Wesen ist \u2013 in ihrer eigent\u00fcmlichen Weise zum allgemeinen Prinzip gemacht. Pero presentar su filosof\u00eda, que en realidad no se presenta de manera sistem\u00e1tica en ellas, se hace m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil no tanto por s\u00ed misma sino por el hecho de que esta filosof\u00eda ha sido entendida de distinta manaras en diferentes \u00e9pocas. Especialmente ha sido manoseada muchas veces por las torpes manos de los tiempos modernos. \u00c9stas manipulaciones son la que, o bien han tra\u00eddo sus ideas en bruto, incapaces de aprehender espiritualmente lo espiritual, o consideraron esto como lo m\u00e1s esencial y extra\u00f1o en la filosof\u00eda de Plat\u00f3n; cuando en realidad esto no pertenece a su filosof\u00eda, sino la manera de imaginar. De hecho, s\u00f3lo la ignorancia de la filosof\u00eda torna dif\u00edcil el entender la filosof\u00eda plat\u00f3nica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Plat\u00f3n es una de las figuras hist\u00f3rico-universales y su filosof\u00eda una de esas existencias de la historia universal que, desde su mismo nacimiento, ejercen la m\u00e1s importante influencia sobre todos los tiempos venideros, en cuanto a la formaci\u00f3n y al desarrollo del esp\u00edritu. En efecto, lo caracter\u00edstico de la filosof\u00eda plat\u00f3nica es, precisamente, esa orientaci\u00f3n hacia el mundo intelectual y suprasensible, la exaltaci\u00f3n de la conciencia al reino espiritual; de tal modo que lo espiritual, lo que pertenece al mundo del pensamiento, cobra importancia, bajo esta forma, para la conciencia y encuentra el camino hacia ella, y, a la inversa, la conciencia empieza a pisar firme en este terreno. They are both engaging and important, in form and content alike. Plato is one of the \u2018world-historical\u2019 <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">[<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"><i>welthistorisch<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">]<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"> individuals, and his philosophy is one of the \u2018world-historical\u2019 phenomena <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">[<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"><i>Existenzen<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">] that, from their very inception onwards, have had the most significant influence on the formation and development of spirit in all subsequent eras. The Christian religion, which <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">contains<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"> this sublime principle <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">[<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">of spirit<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">]<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"> within it, came to be the means of organization of the rational domain, became the supersensible realm that it is, because the soil of the supersensible domain had already been tilled by the great beginning that Plato made. The characteristic feature of the Platonic philosophy is its orientation toward the intellectual or supersensible world, its elevation of consciousness into the spiritual realm, so that the intellectual domain takes on importance for consciousness in the shape of the supersensible, the spiritual element that belongs to thinking; the supersensible is introduced into consciousness in such a way that consciousness gains a permanent foothold in this soil. The principle of the Christian religion is, then, that the human vocation is for blessedness.
