Despierta y mantiene la conversaci\u00f3n con <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Crit%C3%B3n_de_Atenas\">Crit\u00f3n<\/a>, que culmina en la \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03c3\u03c9\u03c0\u03bf\u03c0\u03bf\u03b9\u03af\u03b1 (<em>prosopopoiia<\/em>; <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Personificaci%C3%B3n\">prosopopeya<\/a>) de las leyes de Atenas. Lo que las Leyes le han hecho lo reduce nuevamente a un estado de casi somnolencia, en el que puede o\u00edr tan poco de lo que Crit\u00f3n o cualquier otro pueda decir como en su estado inicial. Sin embargo, mientras que el estado en que se hallaba al comienzo era tranquilo y pac\u00edfico, su estado final es comparable al de las personas pose\u00eddas por el frenes\u00ed <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Coribantes\">corib\u00e1ntico<\/a>, que creen o\u00edr flautas, en el cual los discursos que ha o\u00eddo de las Leyes resuenan con violencia en su interior.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/atriumphilosophicum.es\/home\/wiki\/sobre-apologia-y-criton-struthio-024\/\">Perge ad sequ\u0113ns caput<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/atriumphilosophicum.es\/home\/wiki\/sobre-apologia-y-criton-struthio-022\/\">Redde ad prius caput<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/atriumphilosophicum.es\/home\/wiki\/sobre-apologia-y-criton-struthio-023\/\">Perge ad initium paginae huius<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/atriumphilosophicum.es\/home\/wiki\/sobre-la-apologia-y-el-criton-struthio\/#indice-de-contenidos\">Perge ad indicem<\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Le\u014dnard\u012b Str\u016bthi\u014dnis verba 23<\/h1>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 18pt;\">II<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">While the <i>Apology of Socrates<\/i> is <i>the<\/i> public conversation of Socrates carried on in broad daylight with the city of Athens, the <i>Crito<\/i> presents a conversation which he had in the strictest privacy, secluded as he was from everyone else by the prison walls, with his oldest friend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">At the beginning of the dialogue (cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/atriumphilosophicum.es\/home\/wiki\/crito-plato-003\/\">44a7-8<\/a>) Socrates is in profound sleep, dreaming of a beautiful and well shaped woman who is clothed<\/span><strong><span lang=\"en-GB\">\u2014<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"en-GB\">we learn even the colour of her clothes<\/span><strong><span lang=\"en-GB\">\u2014<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"en-GB\">and who calls him and says that \u201con the third day <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">[he]<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"> would come to the most fertile <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Phthia\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Phthia<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en-GB\">.\u201d He awakens and has his conversation with <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">Kriton<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"> which culminates in the \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03c3\u03c9\u03c0\u03bf\u03c0\u03bf\u03b9\u03af\u03b1 <\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Prosopopoeia\"><span lang=\"en-GB\"><i>prosopopoiia<\/i><\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en-GB\">)<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"> of the laws of Athens. What the Laws are made to tell him reduces him again to a quasi-somnolent state<\/span><strong><span lang=\"en-GB\">\u2014<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"en-GB\">a state in which he can as little hear what Kriton or anyone else may say as he could in the state in which he was at the beginning.
