En efecto, cuando se trata de acciones, los principios universales tienen una aplicaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplia, pero los particulares son m\u00e1s verdaderos, porque las acciones se refieren a lo particular y es con esto con lo que hay que estar de acuerdo. Consideremos, pues, estos ejemplos particulares de nuestra clasificaci\u00f3n:<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"1\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000000007850000000000000000_14176\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000000007850000000000000000_14176-1\">1<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-00000000000007850000000000000000_14176-1\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"1\">Tambi\u00e9n la <em>\u00c9tica Eudemia<\/em> (1220b38, 1-12) nos ofrece un cuadro esquem\u00e1tico de las virtudes y vicios, pero no coincide con esta enumeraci\u00f3n. Aparte de que es posible que existiera una lista de virtudes y vicios en la escuela de Arist\u00f3teles, sin embargo el fil\u00f3sofo continu\u00f3 modificando, a lo largo del tiempo, su clasificaci\u00f3n original, y as\u00ed no es de extra\u00f1ar tal discrepancia.<\/span> en relaci\u00f3n con el miedo y con la audacia, el valor es el t\u00e9rmino medio; <strong>[1107b]<\/strong> de los que se exceden, el que lo es por carencia de temor no tiene nombre (muchas virtudes y vicios no tienen nombre); pero el que se excede en audacia es temerario, y el que se excede en el miedo y le falta coraje, cobarde. En el dominio de los placeres y dolores \u2014no de todos, y en menor grado por lo que respecta a los dolores\u2014, el t\u00e9rmino medio es la moderaci\u00f3n, y el exceso, la intemperancia. Eud. Eth. 1220B 37), exhibiting each as a mean between two vices of excess and defect in respect of a certain class of action or feeling. This is developed in detail in Bk. 3. 6-end and Bk. 4.<\/span> The observance of the mean in fear and confidence is Courage. <strong>[1107b]<\/strong> The man that exceeds in fearlessness not designated by any special name (and this the case with many of the virtues and vices); he that exceeds in confidence is Rash; he that exceeds in fear and is deficient in confidence is Cowardly.
