y es justo y moderado no el que las hace, sino el que las hace como las hacen los justos y moderados. Se dice bien, pues, que realizando acciones justas y moderadas se hace uno justo y moderado respectivamente; y sin hacerlas, nadie podr\u00eda llegar a ser bueno.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Pero la mayor\u00eda no ejerce estas cosas, sino que, refugi\u00e1ndose en la teor\u00eda, creen filosofar y poder, as\u00ed, ser hombres virtuosos; se comportan como los enfermos que escuchan con atenci\u00f3n a los m\u00e9dicos, pero no hacen nada de lo que les prescriben. It is correct therefore to say that a man becomes just by doing just actions and temperate by doing temperate actions; and no one can have the remotest chance of becoming good without doing them. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">But the mass of mankind, instead of doing virtuous acts, have recourse to discussing virtue, and fancy that they are pursuing philosophy and that this will make them good men. In so doing they act like invalids who listen carefully to what the doctor says, but entirely neglect to carry out his prescriptions.
