Sin embargo, este es, en forma visible o invisible, el personaje principal de todos los di\u00e1logos plat\u00f3nicos: todos ellos son <\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\">\u00ab<\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\">apolog\u00edas<\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\">\u00bb<\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\"> de S\u00f3crates o en favor de \u00e9l. Empero, la <\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\"><i>Apolog\u00eda de S\u00f3crates<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\"> es el portal a trav\u00e9s del cual entramos en el cosmos plat\u00f3nico: describe toda la vida de S\u00f3crates, todo su modo de vida, la multitud m\u00e1s numerosa, la multitud dotada de autoridad, la ciudad de Atenas, ante la cual fue acusado de un delito capital; es <\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\"><i>el<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\"> di\u00e1logo de S\u00f3crates con la ciudad de Atenas (cf. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/atriumphilosophicum.es\/home\/wiki\/apologia-plato-033\/\"><span lang=\"es-ES\">37a4-7<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"es-ES\">).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span lang=\"es-ES\">En el proemio, S\u00f3crates contrasta la manera como \u00e9l <\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\">hab<\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\">lar\u00e1 con la manera de sus acusadores: estos hablaron en forma muy persuasiva y, al mismo tiempo, del modo m\u00e1s mendaz posible; \u00e9l, por su parte, dir\u00e1 toda la verdad, porque la virtud del orador consiste en decir la verdad, mientras que la virtud del juez o del jurado consiste en concentrarse en determinar la justicia de los dichos del orador. Este, en efecto, no se limitar\u00e1 a exponer los hechos <\/span><strong><span lang=\"es-ES\">\u2014<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"es-ES\">l<\/span><span lang=\"es-ES\">o que hizo<\/span><strong><span lang=\"es-ES\">\u2014<\/span><\/strong><strong><span lang=\"es-ES\">, <\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"es-ES\">sino tambi\u00e9n a declarar su inocencia: al obrar como lo hizo, actu\u00f3 conforme a la justicia. Yet Socrates is visibly or invisibly the chief character in all Platonic dialogues: all Platonic dialogues are \u201capologies\u201d of or for Socrates. But the <i>Apology of Socrates<\/i> is the portal through which we enter the Platonic kosmos: it gives an account of Socrates\u2019 whole life, of his whole way of life, to the largest multitude, to the authoritative multitude, to the city of Athens before which he was accused of a capital crime; it is <i>the<\/i> dialogue of Socrates with the city of Athens (cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/atriumphilosophicum.es\/home\/wiki\/apologia-plato-033\/\">37a4-7<\/a>). <\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">In the prooemium Socrates contrasts the manner in which he will speak with the manner of his accusers: the accusers spoke most persuasively and at the same time as untruthfully as possible; he on the other hand will say the whole truth, for the virtue of the speaker consists in saying the truth while the virtue of the judge or juryman consists in concentrating on whether what the speaker says is just. For the speaker will not merely state the facts<strong><span lang=\"es-ES\">\u2014<\/span><\/strong>what he did<strong><span lang=\"es-ES\">\u2014<\/span><\/strong>but also that they were innocent<strong><span lang=\"es-ES\">\u2014<\/span><\/strong>that what he did was justly done.
