[40]<\/b> La declaraci\u00f3n jurada de la acusaci\u00f3n fue la siguiente (pues se puede consultarla a\u00fan hoy, dice Favorino, en el templo de la Diosa Madre): \u00abMeleto, hijo de Meleto, del distrito de Pitea, ha presentado, por escrito y bajo juramento, la siguiente denuncia contra S\u00f3crates, hijo de Sofronisco, del distrito de Al\u00f3pece: S\u00f3crates incurre en delito, por una parte, no creyendo en los dioses en los que cree la ciudad, e introduciendo otras divinidades nuevas; y asimismo incurre en delito corrompiendo a los j\u00f3venes. Se solicita la pena de muerte\u00bb. El fil\u00f3sofo, a su vez, para quien Lisias hab\u00eda redactado un alegato de defensa, lo ley\u00f3 de cabo a rabo y dijo: \u00abEs un lindo discurso, Lisias, pero la verdad es que a m\u00ed no me sienta bien\u00bb; pues, sin duda, ten\u00eda m\u00e1s de abogadesco que de filos\u00f3fico. [41]<\/b> Y dici\u00e9ndole Lisias: \u00abPero, si el discurso es lindo, \u00bfc\u00f3mo no ha de sentarte bien?\u00bb, respondi\u00f3: \u00abPues tampoco me sentar\u00edan bien unos lindos vestidos y zapatos\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n
