We ar<\/span>e<\/span> compelled to distinguish political philosophy from <\/span>political theology. <\/span>By political theology we understand political <\/span>teachings which are based on<\/span> divine revelation. Political philosophy is limited to what is accessible to the unassisted human mind. As regards social philosophy, it has the same subject matter as political philosophy, but it regards it from a different point of view. <\/span>Political <\/span>philosophy rests on the premise that the political association\u2014one\u2019<\/span>s<\/span> country or one\u2019<\/span>s<\/span> nation\u2014is the most comprehensive or the most authoritative association, whereas social philosophy conceives of the political association as a part of a larger whole which it designates by the term \u201c<\/span>society\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Nos vemos obligados a distinguir la filosof\u00eda pol\u00edtica de la teolog\u00eda pol\u00edtica. Por teolog\u00eda pol\u00edtica entendemos <\/span>aquellas<\/span> ense\u00f1anzas pol\u00edticas que se basan en la revelaci\u00f3n divina. La filosof\u00eda pol\u00edtica se limita a lo que es accesible a la mente humana <\/span>por s\u00ed misma<\/span>. En <\/span>lo que respecta<\/span> a la filosof\u00eda social, tiene el mismo objeto que la filosof\u00eda pol\u00edtica, pero lo considera desde un punto de vista diferente. La filosof\u00eda pol\u00edtica <\/span>descansa en la siguiente premisa:<\/span> la asociaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica <\/span>\u2014<\/span>nuestro pa\u00eds o nuestra naci\u00f3n<\/span>\u2014,<\/span> es la asociaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplia o la m\u00e1s autorizada, mientras que la filosof\u00eda social concibe la asociaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica como parte de un todo m\u00e1s grande al que designa con el t\u00e9rmino <\/span>\u00ab<\/span>sociedad<\/span>\u00bb<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
