This volume as others in the series presents transcriptions from the students notes and audio recording of Prof. Strauss lessons (and responses to student questions and objections) at the University of Chicago (audio recordings started in winter 1954 until his departure in 1960. This particular volume reproduces nine of the sixteen sessions of Strauss’ 1965 course “Introduction to Political Philosophy”. The course was a lecture. This volume as others in the series presents transcriptions from the students notes and audio recording of Prof. Strauss lessons (and responses to student questions and objections) at the University of Chicago (audio recordings started in winter 1954 until his departure in 1960. This particular volume reproduces all of the seventeen sessions of Strauss’ 1965 course. The course was taught in a seminar form. Strauss began class with general remarks; a student then read aloud portions of the text, followed by Strauss’s comments and responses to student questions and comments.
